About Rent Track

Rent Track helps rental businesses manage inventory, customers, rentals, returns, payments, receipts, and earnings. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the app.

Information You Provide

The app may store information you choose to enter, including:

• Profile and business details, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number, country, currency, and preferences.
• Inventory details, including item names, quantities or unit codes, rates, notes, and optional item photos.
• Customer details, including names, phone numbers, addresses, and notes.
• Rental, return, payment, deposit, charge, security-reference, and receipt information.

Customer information is entered and controlled by the rental business using the app. You are responsible for obtaining any permissions needed to enter and use your customers' information.

Accounts and Sign-In

You can use Rent Track with an account. On Android, the app supports Google Sign-In; on iOS, it supports Sign in with Apple. These providers may share the account details you authorize, such as your name, email address, and a provider account identifier. Rent Track also supports anonymous sessions.

Authentication and account data are handled through Supabase, which provides the app's account and synchronization infrastructure.

Local Storage and Synchronization

Rent Track stores your data in a SQLite database on your device so it can work offline. When you are signed in and a connection is available, the app synchronizes your profile and rental-business data with the Rent Track Supabase project. This enables the same account data to be restored and kept current across your signed-in devices.

The app associates synchronized data with your account and is designed so that users can access only their own records.

How Information Is Used

Your information is used to:

• Provide inventory, customer, rental, return, payment, receipt, and earnings features.
• Generate, print, or share the receipts you request.
• Maintain your account, sign-in state, preferences, and synchronized records.
• Restore and synchronize your data when the app is online.

Sharing and Third Parties

Rent Track does not sell your information or use advertising or analytics services. Information is shared with Google or Apple when you choose their sign-in service, and with Supabase to provide authentication and synchronization. When you choose to print or share a receipt, the receipt is sent to the printer, app, or recipient you select through your device's system sharing features.

Data Retention and Deletion

Data remains on your device and, for signed-in accounts, in the synchronized account until you delete it. You can permanently delete your account and its associated business data from the app's Profile area. You can also remove local data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Device backups may retain data according to your operating-system or backup-provider settings.

Security

Rent Track uses the protections provided by your device, operating system, and its service providers. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your device with an appropriate passcode or biometric lock and keep its software up to date.

Children's Privacy

Rent Track is intended for rental-business use and is not directed to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes.
