Information You Enter
The app may store information you choose to enter, including:
- Medication names, forms, dosages, and notes.
- Reminder times, repeat days, and schedule date ranges.
- Dose history, including taken, skipped, or snoozed doses when these features are available.
- Medication inventory and low-stock settings.
- Notification, alarm, theme, text-size, language, and onboarding preferences.
This information is stored locally on your device. Pill Reminder does not require an account and does not upload this information to a developer-operated server.
Device Permissions
Depending on your device, operating-system version, and the features you enable, Pill Reminder may request permission to:
- Send notifications — to display medication reminders and related alerts.
- Schedule alarms or exact reminders — to deliver time-sensitive reminders more reliably where supported.
- Start after device restart — to restore scheduled reminders where supported by the operating system.
These permissions are used only to provide reminder functionality. You can manage them at any time in your device settings, although disabling them may prevent reminders from appearing on time.
How Information Is Used
Locally stored information is used to:
- Display your medications, schedules, dose history, and inventory.
- Calculate upcoming doses and order medications by their next dose.
- Schedule the reminders and alarms you choose to enable.
- Remember your app settings and onboarding status.
Data Sharing and Third-Party Services
Pill Reminder does not sell, rent, or share your medication information with advertisers or data brokers. The current version does not use cloud synchronization, advertising services, or analytics services. The app relies on operating-system services to store app data and deliver local notifications on your device.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your information remains on your device until you delete it through available app controls, clear the app's storage, or uninstall the app. Device backups may retain app data according to your operating-system and backup-provider settings. The developer cannot access or remotely delete locally stored data.
Data Security
Pill Reminder uses the storage protections provided by your device and operating system. No method of electronic storage is completely secure, so you should protect your device with an appropriate passcode or biometric lock and keep its software up to date.
Medical Disclaimer
Pill Reminder is an organizational aid and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Reminders may be delayed or missed because of device settings, battery restrictions, operating-system behavior, or other technical issues. Always follow the instructions of your doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified healthcare professional, and do not rely solely on the app for medication decisions.
Children's Privacy
Pill Reminder is not directed to children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of the app and medication schedule.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated to reflect changes to the app or applicable law. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes.
